Blanket AmericaCurt Goad Ministries is warming up America one blanket at a time! Curt’s Blanket America Campaign began when Curt’s Father was homeless at 13 years old, a Good Samaritan gave him a Bible, a hug, a blanket and a warm bed. Curt carries on the legacy of his Father today. Curt loves to make a difference in the lives of others and Blanket America is doing just that! Together through your partnership and donations, we are able to join hands and make a difference in the life of some-one who is cold. Our blankets are wool and not only warm the body, they warm the heart and the spirit. Did you know that a wool blanket, even when wet will keep you warm?” Blanket America donates blankets to each city Curt speaks or performs in. Curt tells us that “a blessing is like a blanket, it wraps itself around you and warms every area of your life.” These are disaster relief blankets, which are made of 100% wool and even when wet, will keep a person warm. We distribute to homeless shelters, policemen and fireman so they have them when disaster strikes everyday people, like you and me, as we run into life’s challenges. You can buy a blanket for your car or to help someone else; at the same time, we will donate a second blanket in your name to one of our partner organizations to someone who is in need. Do you knit or crochet? We have also received hats from someone like you that we distribute to supplement the blankets we are distributing. For more information or where you can send your donated items, email us here at Curt Goad Ministries for instructions where to send them. When you make a difference in somebody else’s life, it makes a difference in your life. Your compassion blesses people all over the world who you will likely never meet. The surest cure for loneliness, the quickest way to happiness, is to go and serve someone who is in need. The capacity to give love and encouragement gives life its deepest meaning and significance. You have a chance to be great, you have a chance to serve and as my father said, “No one will ever perform a greater deed than meeting the needs of others.” |
